Mark E. Rooney Appointed as D.C. Attorney State Chair for ACA International

Washington, DC, March 2, 2023 - Hudson Cook, LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark E. Rooney as an ACA International attorney state chair for Washington, D.C.

Mark is among a great group of ACA International member attorneys ready to serve their respective state and regional units through the Attorney State Chair Program for the 2022/23 term.

Attorney State Chair Program participants serve a crucial role, working in their community and throughout their state to strengthen relationships between attorneys and their member clients, recruit new members and increase the participation of members in ACA and unit activities. The Attorney State Chair Program is designed to give ACA members access to an attorney licensed to practice law in their state.

Mark is a Partner at Hudson Cook in the Washington, D.C. office, where he focuses his practice on helping consumer finance companies address and resolve contentious consumer disputes through negotiated settlements, arbitration, and individual and class litigation. An active leader in consumer finance law, Mark is co-chair of the Consumer Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section. He previously served as co-chair of the Subcommittee on FDCPA and TCPA litigation. Mark also chairs the DC Bar's Litigation Community Steering Committee. He is also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and ACA International, where he previously served as the Attorney Division representative to the Council of Delegates (2019-2022).
